Model Shoot with Jenny

Saturday the 4th of July 5 members of the photo club met in the old town of Geneva, near the St Pierre cathedral, for a photo shoot with Jenny. As the Lake Parade was also going on that afternoon I decided to go on my motorbike to avoid the traffic jams. This also meant I had to stuff all my equipment - Nikon D3, 24-70mm f2.8 and 70-200mm f2.8, 2 SB-900's, Manfrotto light stand, Photek Softliter umbrella and two pocket wizards - in a single Lowepro Rover AW II backpack.

After meeting up with Jenny we scouted around for a nice location to start the shoot. We settled for the little park behind the cathedral.

The Photek Softliter gives a softbox like quality of light while being extremely easy to mount and quite cheap. As you can see even Annie Leibovitz is a fan of the Softliter.

After the little park we found a few other locations and we finally stopped after about 4 hours when the batteries of the SB-900 had run out. All in all a very successful shoot in a nice outdoor location. A viewing session of the results is planned for the 29th of July.
